Chocolate Milk Foot Bath

Chocolate Milk Foot Bath

Ingredients:

1/4 cup powdered milk
1/4 cup Epsom Salt
1/8 cup cocoa powder
some good chocolate

Equipment:

medium bowl

Instructions:

Mix all dry ingredients in a medium bowl, adding water little by little until a nice smooth paste is formed.  Add the paste to a warm bath, and soak for 10 minutes, while nibbling on choccolates. This bath is truly good for the soul and leaves skin surprisingly soft.  It's also a fun treat for kids, if you don't mind them getting rather chocolatey! Try adding a few drops of peppermint essential oil!

Ginger Orange Cayenne Warming Foot Scrub

Ginger Orange Cayenne Warming Foot Scrub

Ingredients:
1/4 cup sugar (white or brown)
1/4 cup sweet almond oil
6 drops orange essential oil
1 drop ginger essential oil
1 level teaspoon powdered cayenne pepper

Directions:
In a plastic bowl, mix together the sugar and oil. Add the essential oil and stir.

Add the cayenne pepper last and stir well to mix.

To use, sit comfortably in the tub or over a pan of water and/or a large towel to catch the sugar scrub as it is applied. Scoop up a handful of the scrub for each foot and massage vigorously yet with care over heels, ankles, toes, arches and the balls of your feet. Be sure to scrub any rough areas especially well.

Honey, Lime & Cucumber Scrub

Honey, Lime & Cucumber Scrub

Ingredients:

1/2 cup honey
10 drops lime juice
one cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced

Equipment:

2 small bowls
12" square of cheesecloth or large coffee filter, rubber band

Instructions:

Mix honey and lime juice in a small bowl. Place cucumbers into cheesecloth square or coffee filter, and secure with rubber band. Gently mash cucumber sachet in a bowl until it is quite pulpy. Massage honey lime mixture into skin and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water, and pat dry.  Squeeze cucumber sachet on skin and gently spread cucumber juice on skin. Rinse if desired and finish with a light moisturizer. Lime juice gently exfoliates and the honey gently softens skin. Cucumber tightens and replenishes moisture. This treatment is even gentle enough for facial skin.

Peppermint foot scrub with Lavender

Peppermint foot scrub with Lavender

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups sea salt
1/4 cup sweet almond oil
2 drops peppermint essential oil
3 drops lavender essential oil

Directions:
Combine the sea salt and almond oil and stir well to mix. If the mixture seems dry and does not hold well together in your hands, add almond oil by the tablespoon until you can scoop it comfortably. Add the essential oils last and stir well.

Rub Peppermint Lavender Foot Glow Scrub vigorously all over your feet and ankles. Pay special attention to your heels and the soles of your feet so they are thoroughly exfoliated. Rinse well with warm water and follow with a rich lotion or cream. Sleep in socks so the moisturizer is absorbed well into your skin.
